Celebrate Grandparents Day this Sunday by taking your grandchildren for a boat tour on Lake Sumter.
The price per passenger is $3 with cruise times running from 4 p.m. until sunset.
Tickets can be purchased at the Lake Sumter Dock Line. It is first come, first serve.
Former President Jimmy Carter established Grandparents Day on August 3, 1978. The holiday was created to honor grandparents, as well as to showcase the wisdom and perspectives of older generations for the young. The holiday falls on Sunday, Sept. 7 this year.
