Are you an Anglophile, or simply a lover of a good history lecture?
Dr. Dean Allen, author and historian, will be coming to The Villages on Friday, Nov.7, at 1 p.m. at the Ezell Recreation Center.
Allen will take the audience on a historical adventure with his lecture—detailing the story of how Britain’s influence extended across the world in the 19th century.
The presentation will focus on the story of James Logan, a young Scottish entrepreneur, who made his name and fortune in South Africa during the silver and gold rush in the late 1800s.
