Facilities Opening After Hurricane Ian Passes

District Property Management began their assessment of the stormwater system, water retention areas and roadway debris on Sept. 29.

All District Administrative Offices will resume normal business hours on Friday, September 30th.

All indoor and outdoor recreation facilities, including swimming pools, will remain closed through Sept. 30 to provide ample time for District Staff and contractors the ability to evaluate each facility. For Villagers’ and guests’ health, safety and well-being DO NOT ENTER any facility or park vehicles in the parking lots until it has been cleared and opened by The Villages Public Safety Department or other appropriate agency. It is anticipated, all indoor and outdoor facilities will open on Oct. . Please note this timeline may be changed due to unforeseen circumstances.

All Executive Golf Courses will remain closed through Sept. 30.

Community Watch will begin placing the gate arms back on all of the gates on Oct. 1. As drivers approach a gate in which the gate arm has been removed, use caution and stop before proceeding. Irrigation may continue to run along common areas and roadways to lower the water levels in water retention areas. This is done to ensure adequate capacity of the storm water management system.
