Government Office Closures in Marion County Due to Hurricane Ian

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) Division of Emergency Management and local government agencies have announced several closures that may affect some citizens. Some of these closures include:

MCSO will close at noon on Sept. 28 and will reopen Oct. 3.
All Marion County offices and facilities will be closed Sept. 28-30.
The Baseline Landfill and all recycling centers will be open until 3 p.m. on Sept. 28.
The Marion County Tax Collector’s Office will be closed Sept. 28 and will reopen Oct. 3.
Ocala Police Department (OPD) Headquarters Lobby will be closed until further notice.
The Fifth Circuit Courts are scheduled to be closed Sept. 28 and 29.
The Federal Courthouse is scheduled to be closed from Sept. 28 and 29.
Marion County Property Appraiser’s Office is scheduled to be closed Sept. 28 and 29.
All Villages District Administrative Offices will close at noon on Sept. 28 and remain closed until Sept. 29.
City of Ocala business offices will be closed at noon Sept. 28. Normal business office hours of operation are expected to resume Oct. 3.
