Shelter dog of the week: Nova

“Life of the Paw-ty, Queen of the Splash Zone.”

Does a dog with a description like this draw your attention?

Then contact Sumter County Animal Services to schedule a time to meet Nova, a female, mixed-breed adult, looking for her forever home.

Nova’s foster says she is friendly, playful, affectionate, and a snuggle bug. While she can get excited for walks, games of fetch, and any outdoor adventure, she is also able to occupy herself with chew toys and loves to hang out on the couch.

She is currently living with two other dogs, and has been non-reactive with other dogs she’s met. Nova knows basic commands as well.

All animals adopted at the shelter are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, microchipped and have received heart worm and flea prevention medication. In addition, dogs are tested for heart worm disease.

Adoption fees are currently waived. The shelter is currently over capacity and is desperately calling for those interested to adopt.

The shelter is open daily from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at 819 CR 529, Lake Panasoffkee, FL 33585.

You can see Maci and other dogs up for adoption at the shelter here.
