As most Villagers know, The Villages spans through three different counties. Here are the number of new COVID cases as of Mar. 22, according to the CDC website.
In Lake County, there have been 149 new cases over the last week. 15 of those cases were admitted to the hospital, and 13 resulted in death.
In Marion County, there have been 68 new cases. 25 of those cases were admitted to the hospital, and 11 resulted in death.
In Sumter County, there have been 42 new cases. Five of those cases were admitted to the hospital, and 13 deaths were reported.
The CDC updates the number of new cases regularly, if not daily, and anyone can view the numbers by visiting covid.cdc.gov.
