As most Villagers know, The Villages spans through three different counties. Here are the number of new COVID cases as of May 25, according to the CDC website.
In Lake County, there have been about 210 new cases over the last week. Eight of those cases were admitted to the hospital, and no deaths were reported.
In Marion County, there have been about 112 new cases. About five of those cases were admitted to the hospital, and no deaths were reported.
In Sumter County, there have been about 205 cases. Eight of those cases were admitted to the hospital, and no deaths were reported.
The CDC updates the number of new cases regularly, if not daily, and anyone can view the numbers by visiting covid.cdc.gov.
