As most Villagers know, The Villages spans through three different counties. Here are the number of new COVID cases as of Sept. 28, according to the CDC website.
In Lake County, there have been about 96 new cases over the last week. Eight of those cases were admitted to the hospital, and about 3 deaths were reported.
In Marion County, there have been about 92 new cases. About 14 of those cases were admitted to the hospital, and no deaths were reported.
In Sumter County, there have been about 100 cases. Eight of those cases were admitted to the hospital, and no deaths were reported.
The CDC updates the number of new cases regularly, if not daily, and anyone can view the numbers by visiting covid.cdc.gov.
