District prepares for arrival of Hurricane Idalia

There will be impacts to district operations due to the anticipated arrival of Tropical Storm Idalia.

The district is monitoring the weather, and will announce any necessary closures or changes in hours of operation.

The district has taken these steps so far:

  • Due to the potential for sustained winds to exceed 20 mph, Community Watch will be removing gate arms throughout the community, starting on Monday, Aug. 28.
  • Outdoor pool furniture, trash cans and other loose items may be secured.
  • Villagers may notice irrigation running along common areas and roadways. This is done to lower the water levels in retention areas and to ensure adequate capacity of the stormwater management system.

Villagers can sign up for e-notifications from the district in order to receive the latest information and announcements.
