This year is the 20th anniversary of 9/11. In remembrance of those who passed, several clubs in The Villages will be holding events on Sept. 11.
The Veterans Memorial Group of The Villages will be holding its 9/11 ceremony at the memorial in front of Fire Station #44, located at 3035 Morse Blvd., at 10 a.m.
The FDNY 343 club will also hold its annual 9/11 ceremony at St. Mark’s Catholic Church at 10 a.m.
The Parrot Head Group will be having its annual 9/11 blood drive at Fire Station #44 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
