The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is proposing to resurface U.S. 27/U.S. 441 from Morse Blvd. to north of SE 178th Pl. FDOT believes this will enhance the safety and operations of this roadway as well as extend its life.
“To improve operations and traffic efficiency, the left turn lights at the signalized intersections will be modified to increase space of vehicles. Traffic signals will also be upgraded,” according to FDOT. Part of this project will also include construction of new sidewalks on both sides of the road, drainage upgrades and new pedestrian signals and crosswalks.
