The Sumter County Planning and Zoning Special Master will conduct a hearing to review a proposed ordinance regarding adult arcades on Dec. 20 at 7 p.m. at Everglades Regional Recreation Center. The proposed ordinance addresses safety concerns by restricting the locations at which adult arcades may be located and providing regulations to mitigate the increased law enforcement activities surrounding the adult arcade businesses. Following the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Special Master, the proposed ordinance will be on the agenda for consideration by the Sumter County Board of County Commissioners on Jan. 11, 2022 at 7 p.m. at the Everglades Regional Recreation Center.
