The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office is currently working to fix an issue impacting some mobile phones when dialing 911.

The issue appears to impact some AT&T mobile phones, causing some 911 calls to get rerouted to a different agency or experience a delay, according to a recent social media post by the department. This issue is being worked on.

For anyone who may experience an issue calling 911 in Sumter County, call from a landline phone to the department’s admin phones at 352-793-2621 or 352-569-1600.
