CORA Physical Therapy Open at Magnolia Plaza

CORA Physical Therapy has opened a new facility in Magnolia Plaza to better serve customers who live south of State Road 44. CORA offers dozens of locations in Florida and across the country to better serve those in need of recovery. Patients can choose from a variety of services ranging from gentle and non-manipulative therapies to more intensive therapies such as Kinesio taping for support, pain management or manual therapy.

CORA’s senior clinic manager, Jessy Gutschick, has been with the organization for six years and says her focus has always been to make other people feel better.

“Whether you are recovering from an accident or surgery, or you’re treating something that you’ve dealt with long-term, we always love seeing people on the road to better health,” she said.

Gutschick is currently employed at CORA Leesburg and holds a bachelor’s degree in health sciences as well as a doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Florida. She expressed her enthusiasm for helping Floridians.

“We’re in a community where many people benefit from the services we offer,” she said. “A lot of people think you only need to go to physical therapy when you’re injured, but a lot of what we do involves injury prevention.”

Gutschick, in particular, loves engaging with athletes and assisting them with recovering from previous injuries as well as learning how to avoid new ones. She’s currently developing a curriculum for first responders and military people that combines rehabilitation with injury prevention and job-specific strength and fitness.

“There are a lot of athletes in The Villages, and not all of them have the knowledge of injury prevention because they discover a love of sports after they retire,” Gutschick said. “They don’t always work with a coach, and they sometimes figure things out alone or with a small group.”

CORA Physical Therapy is located south of State Road 44 at 2155 Everglades Lane in Magnolia Plaza.
